sliding rear window does nothing when button beside mirror is pushed, Ford dealership says I need a new window for $840.00. I am hoping someone here can give me a cheaper solution. I should point out that it worked fine until some little pukes broke in via rear sliding window, presumably pried it open. Any ideas folks?

 

Wouldn't that be covered under your comprehensive insurance? If you don't know, find out - call your insurance company.

i live in canada where you have to have insurance by law and for fear of increases we are afraid to use it,

 

I don't know about Canada, but here a comprehensive claim (fire, theft, glass damage) does not affect your rates.
