Recently purchased a low mile 2014 F150 with the 3.5. I noticed on the window sticker that it had CA emissions as it was sold new in CA. What does that consist of compared to normal emission control? I was thinking of deleting resonator and looking over the exhaust system, I see there is a canister after the resonator and before the muffler. I suspect this is CA related, or do all 3.5 eco boosts have that? When people delete the resonator do they take the canister off too? I live in KS so I do not want CA emissions junk. Thanks!

 

It's mostly in the ecu programming for air/fuel ratios and how much deposits are being emitted. The other 49 are less stringent on the emissions. Being a local Cali resident I can't think of anything else.
