'Instant mileage" cluster question

'12 Screw fx4 5.0.
my "instant gauge " is in L/100km"
I've had it for 6000km it has 48k now on it. the entire time nice driving i have read between 11.5 and 14.5 l/100 no problem . all of a sudden it climbs while i idle at a light and takes for ever to drop to a normal level i.e.' ill be at 15.5 and at a light it will climb to 17 just sitting there. then will never go down. I can't even get close to my old 11.5-14.5 anymore. anyone had problems with the "instant " cluster reading high and start climbing like that at a light just idling?
I've reset it a few times and still always reads 16/l100 average when driving habits haven't changed

Hi tbaz,

A number of factors can contribute to increased fuel consumption; from improper tire pressure to the grade of oil you use. Have you followed recommended maintenance schedule? You can bring it in to have it diagnosed, if so, let me know when and at which dealer; I'll put a case together, and will loop in your regional customer service manager.

Thanks for reaching out to us,

Mathieu

Did you even read his complaint? He's not talking about actual fuel consumption at all?
