Question 2014 Ecoboost: High Idle on Remote Start?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and recently bought a new 2014 FX4 ecoboost. I live in Houston and the heat is up right now. I was noticing the other day that when I use the remote start ony my truck, there is a very high idle sound, and/or a/c compressor sound. Just wanting to see if any of you have ran into this. And also, if I just start it with the key in the ignition, it doesn't make the same sound.

Thanks in advance,
RUKUSrex

If it's brand new you have a warranty, go see the dealer.

I think what you are hearing are the electric fans. They will run if the AC is on.

I bet it's the electric fans for your A/C. The truck does that if the climate control is set to cool and little air is moving across the condenser.

There is nothing wrong your truck. Mine does the exact same thing and I'm just south of you.

The dual electric fans are noisy and heck but I sure do love it when the cab is already cooled down when I get in. I opted for the leather bucket seats and they get pretty warm in Phoenix, remote start was one of the first options I looked for.
