I like buying the leftover models because they are still new and I tend to keep my vehicles a long time and the one year difference in model makes very little difference in value by the time I trade again. You should get a big discount up to 30%. Find out what they charge for doc fees and all the other bs fees that they might come up with.

Do you need the FX4 package? Might get a better deal on an XLT 4x4

Don't be afraid to shop out of state too. If the dealers in your area don't sell a bunch of trucks they won't be pushing them and making good deals. Look at the difference in price between your area and AR, TX or OK. Around here they have to be very competitive with price or they lose the sale. You might be able to drive a little bit and save a ton of money.

I shopped the east coast mainly VA DE NJ PA and got a great deal on my 14. Its FX4 blue flame 5.0 super crew. Sticker was 51500 and before negations they dropped list price to 45k. That was back in March. I am sure you can work a good deal. It was between 2 trucks a blue flame I bought and a tuxedo black in southern NY somewhere. If it is the same dealer I talked to they have had it for a hot minute.

I have basically the same truck, blue flame fx4 supercrew with a 5.0 and the fx4 luxury pack with sunroof, nav, and 20's. Sticker was 49,700 and I paid 40,040 back on November 26, 2013 when the 14's were just starting to hit the lots. |
