Took off the chrome running boards and put on the raptor heads. Still have a little chrome on the side with the wheels and handles but i like it that way now.

Tell me what y'all think!

Good job, I like it. That toned down the front end just enough. Those chrome grill surrounds are a bit too much.

Looks like a totally different truck. Very nice! I like the PTM along the top and bottom of the horizontal bars, nice touch. And the heads tie everything together.

Finally a '13/'14 XLT grill I actually like. You made it look great!

Very nice! I haven't even received my new 2014 f150 but know that I want to do something different with the grill. I agree with the others, the 13-14 grille's are just too much chrome. I thought about painting it when I do the door handles and mirror caps but wonder how it will hold up over the years. Nice looking truck! I like the tail light upgrade.

....or since you're in ME. you could buy my 2014 STX Sport grill without paying an arm and a leg for shipping.

I think it looks great. I think you should ditch all the Texas Edition, EB, 3.5L and dealer badges too. They add clutter to a really clean looking Kodiak Brown truck. Love that color and all the badges take away from it. How did you prep the chrome for paint?

One of these days i am going to ditch all the crap on the tailgate. Between the Dealer Logo/Texas Edition Badge and the dealer license plate surround it does look cluttered. I Like my 3.5 TT badge's though so its not going anywhere . Its still a work in progress, just trying to do nice touches but yet keep it looking close to factory.

I'm also thinking about doing a little something to the wheels like my KR had. It looked sharped, Just not sure how it would look on this truck. There are places on the wheel where it looks like it could be done pretty easily on the EB

As far as the Prep Work everything was scuffed until chrome was dull, etching primer, 4k primer, paint and 4 coats of clear.

If you want to do the wheels PTM you need a set like Patman's from the STX Sport and PTM the grey areas. That would look really good. Or a set of Harley 22's and PTM the black parts.

How much did you have to pay to get the bumpers painted? I have an XLT and can't stand the chrome.
