Posting this here as I feel it will get more views - wondering if anyone has updated their maps with this:

I have a 2001 FX4 and haven't updated the maps - I took a trip to Texas and found they aren't all up to date.

If anyone has updated, did you buy from Ford or find another (cheaper lol) place to get them?

Ford is the only place I have found that has them.

 

Have not done it for my truck, but we did it for my 2010 Flex. Bought from ford - came with 2 cds - worked fine and definitely added roads that were not there before. I wish there was a better way than spending $150.

 

For $150 you can buy a standalone GPS with lifetime maps.

 

My ol trusty Garmin is still kicking after 5 years (last i checked it showed 114,000 miles of use on it). Free lifetime updates is all that it needs.
