Issues with the 5.0????

I havent been on here for a while since I sold my truck. However, I am in the market again and have been looking at used F-150s. One thing I keep noticing is that there seems to be quite a bit of 2013 5.0L F150's for sale with really low miles (many of them under 15,000). Is there an issue with these trucks? Just weird to see so many for sale with so little miles.

Considering the number out there, there have been relatively few on here with problems. My 2011 has been a good one. Uses a quart of oil in 4000 to 5000 miles and gets great gas mileage. I have almost 68,000 miles on it.

I bought my 2012 XLT 5.0 in May of that year and traded it in this past September for a 2013 FX2 5.0. The 2012 had about 19k miles and I never had an issue with it at all, it just so happened that I had planned on upgrading and just did so about a year ahead of time.

Compare the used prices with new leftover prices.

It may be a glut of lease returns. That mileage sounds about right for that.

I purchased my 5.0L on 12/30/2010 and have had a few minor things fixed; (1) paint defect at 6 months, (2) TSB for driveline clunking in turns at 35,000 miles, (3) passenger window motor replaced at 35,000 miles, and (4) I had the factory 18" Michelin tires replaced for shoulder cracking at 3 yrs./41,000 miles.

There are always a high number of used GM and Japenese trucks for sale in the Classifieds.

94k miles so far on my 5.0 and all is fine. Some are probably lease returns and others are likely from folks who decided they wanted the EB instead. I wouldn't worry about it.
