Why is my driver side mirror "blue"

It has a blue tint to it. Nowhere as clear as the passenger side mirror. I get that it's a heated mirror but should that make it less clear to see in?

I would say that it is the auto dimmer ..... good way to tell is that there should be a thin line of clear around the perimeter of that mirror.

Yep, mine has that. Looks like the edge of a clear decal or something.

Thanks guys. I'm not a fan of it then. I'd rather it be really clear.

I've come to love it .... if there is no outside light coming in (from say a car behind you) it is crystal clear (like when backing up)

That's why I love it because it's on when you need it and off when you don't .... oh yea I hate to alert you to it but your rear view mirror also does it haha it might bother you now

Yea, I noticed the rear view a little while ago. It's much more clear than the driver mirror. Maybe I got a bad one...
I'll have to pay more attention to it and see if I can find reasons to like it. lol

Wait till a car with bright lights gets on your bumper. Then you'll be upset because the other one isn't self dimming.

Does it clear up in normal daylight driving? It may be malfunctioning and remaining in the dim mode when it's not supposed to?

That could be I guess. It's not real bad but its noticeably less clear than the passenger side.
Thanks for info, fellas!
