I'm actually asking this question for my father. His skills do not include the internets.

His 2013 F150 Lariat has the larger tow mirrors, and he would like to get the smaller standard mirrors. Is this possible? The dealership kinda just scratches their head and mumbles something about how they don't think they can do it. He doesn't need them to telescope, and to be honest, they don't even need to fold.

Anybody ever done this? My searches didn't turn up much.

I too would trade my standard mirrors for tow mirrors. If anyone else is looking.

 

I don't mean to offend anyone but I think you'll be getting robbed if you trade your Lariat power telescoping power extending tow mirrors for plain jane XLT mirrors. You should at least get an even trade with Lariat mirrors that power fold or get some money out of the deal. I'm just looking out for you. Oh and most dealerships don't know the word mod. Don't even go there.

 

Old thread, I know, but I have power tow mirrors that I would trade for standard if anyone is interested. Mine are power, turn signal, heated, etc without the power telescoping/folding.

 

If I had an 09+, I'd trade ya in a heart beat. I don't think you'd want my 06 mirrors, though they fit. Someone will be more than happy to swap with ya!

 

I have the stock mirrors off my 09 XLT in the garage. Pass side mirror is in near perfect shape however there is a hole in the plastic base cover on the drivers side mirror. I can send pics if your interested. My son will be putting tow mirrors on his 2013 FX4 in the future so those will be available later this summer.

 

If your looking for just the regualr mirrors pm me.. Mine are in perfect shape.
