Maybe a second opinion is in order.
Shouldn't is be covered under powertrain Warranty?

Isn't it still under warranty?

Hi vykngfan,

Are you going to proceed with the repair yourself or have your dealer do it? If it's the latter, I'll be happy to escalate this to your regional customer service manager so they can help. Just send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll do the rest.

Crystal

Would like to take this to another dealer for a second opinion. Looks to be several issues that could cause this and I don't want to spend the money on more than one repair.

Is there anyway to turn it off? I don't particularly care for it.

It happened to me a few days ago after I had gone through a car wash. I disabled it and drove around some more. Engaged it again about an hour later and it was ok.

Something must have got wet during the car wash and triggered a sensor. Will have to wait and see if it re-occurs.

How do you disable it?

Hi 03Fx4JD,

I checked out the third printing of your Owner's Manual and found these instructions on page 240:

Press and release the hill descent button located on the instrument panel.

Keep in mind you can download a free digital copy of your Owner's Manual here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...h-results.html

Hello Crystal, I have the same issue with my Raptor and it has already left me stranded twice. I took it to the dealer today and they cleared the codes but just as I left it did it again, unfortunately the dealership is closed until tomorrow. Please assist me with this matter, thank you.

I don't have a button like that... I don't think my truck is equipped with that...

I'm talking about when using cruise control, or in tow/haul mode...

When towing my boat, using tow/haul mode, anytime I let off the throttle going down even a slight decline, the truck will sometimes jump all the way down to 2nd gear trying to slow me down.... and I do NOT like it.

Week one......After changing my Steering Gear the issue seems to have been corrected. Confused as to why these sensors can not be replaced but there is a core charge for the Steering Gear and you can buy re-manufactured units???
Hey Ford.....I think you have a problem.
I will update again.
