Door key pad arm/disarm alarm?

I've had my FX4 for 3 yrs now and never used the door keypad to lock or unlock.
I have the 6 button, dealer installed (gold seiers?) key fob alarm and would like to know if I lock/arm the system with the key fob will the alarm be triggered if I unlock using the door key pad?

Not sure, I say give it a try and see what happens, just have the remote handy if the alarm goes off

Mine arms and disarms the alarm just like the fob does. Just need to press the lock sequence twice to get it to arm.

I have the factory keypad and the dealer installed alarm. Alarm operation is seamless and interchangeable between the fob and the keypad. It was the same way on my 2006 with the same setup.

You should have been given the code by the dealer when you purchased the truck....if you bought it new. You simply enter that code with the keypad and it unlocks the driver's door. It'll unlock the rest of the doors by pressing the last digit of the code a second time. Pressing the last two buttons of the keypad simultaneously will lock the truck.

If you DON'T have the code....

Ford used to put a sticker on the computer with the code of the keypad on it. Look for a marker/sticker with 5 numbers on it on the main cpu under the dash area. I haven't looked for one on your model year truck but its your best shot, otherwise you go to the dealer service dept.

Nasty,
Thanks for the locking/ unlocking details, it mostly worked except for the unlocking of the rest of the doors. The balance of doors only unlocked if I pressed key pad #3/4 within 5 seconds of entering the main 5 digit passcode.

If that (#3/4 key) is also the key to enter the last digit of the code then that's what I meant. Maybe I wasn't clear. If that is not the key to used to enter the last digit of the code then there is a difference between yours and the systems I am familiar with (02' and 13'). Was your code stuck to your computer?

Last digit of my code is #9 but it didn't work to unlock other doors so I checked the manual and it says to press 3/4 button within 5 sec of entering passcode which was on a business like card within the owner's manual (that's one long sentence).

Thanks for that info. I've learned something today. Both of my vehicles (02' Lightning and 13' SuperCrew) have required me to enter the last digit of the code a second time to unlock remaining doors.

Formula that's the way it is supposed to work, the #3/4 button pressed right after you enter the code will unlock all 4 doors. Was that way on my '05, '09, & '13. To clarify, I'm referring to the FACTORY alarm, not a dealer installed alarm system. My GF had the Ford dealer installed alarm and it was different, kind of "quirky" fsr...

HotLap,
I'm the original owner and can confirm it is a dealer installed alarm and that pressing #3/4 keypad after entering the main code unlocks all doors.
