Toyo AT 2's 285/75/18 with 2'' Level

Just wanted to let anyone know that has been looking at getting new tires and a 2'' level. I have a Zone 2'' level kit for the front, and my new toyo at 2's fit perfect with no rubbing at all even when wheel is fully locked. I really like the look of the new tires as well. https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...4-img-1810.jpg

My truck is a 2012 model and I did not do anything to the rear, no blocks just stock and still has a little rake which in my opinion looks good.https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...7-img-1813.jpg

Looks good! My Toyo Open Country M/T's 35's just came in can't wait to put them on next week

That looks awesome! Love the clean look.
Are those the "extreme" AT2?

Texas Aggie 12 01-25-2013 03:02 PM

Thanks guys, couldn't be happier. CHEEF - I guess they are the extreme, not too sure, they are the new AT2's that just came out. I love em, and they fit well on the stock rim, not too many tires out their in a 35'' size that are not very wide, which is the reason I chose this tire.

cheef 01-25-2013 03:55 PM

Well they look extreme!!

Texas Aggie 12 01-25-2013 05:41 PM

To be honest the pics really don't do it justice, as it was with my iphone and doesn't capture the sidewall. I like them a lot as they don't stick out too and that's what I personally was going for, and I really like the stock rims. I think it looks sharp just the way it is.

I think there is something so unbelievably clean about a newer F-150 with beefier tires on the stock chrome package 18"s and with a level. Your truck looks awesome!

How's the noise level? Truck performance? 5.0 or EB? Gearing? Just curious...

Texas Aggie 12 01-26-2013 11:07 AM

Noise level is very very minimal. The truck does lag more performance wise, but I expected it putting that size tire on it. I have a 2012 F-150 with a 5.0. I also have the off-road package so my truck came with 3.73 gears, otherwise I wouldn't have gone up to a 35'' tire.
One of my best friends has an F-150 that has Bilstein 5100's adjustables all the way around, and an add a leaf and he's running 35 x 12.50 BFG All Terrains with stock gears, I believe 3.55 but he has an ecoboost. He has raptor rims on it that required no offset for him to run the tires, therefore don't rub. He only gets 12-13mpg but his tires are a lot wider and doesn't have 3.73 gears. The ecoboost doesn't have any trouble turning the tire, just gets bad mpg is all.

Thanks for the updates. Yes, you have the Extreme's, it's labeled right after "Open Country". They also make AT 2's in non-extreme, only certain sizes are "xtreme" Xtreme sizes feature a deeper tread depth and more agressive tread and shoulder design. Also, the Extreme tires have raised lettering on one side and smooth lettering on the other. Make sure the shop mounted all four the same way.

Your truck looks great. I have a 2010 XLT and just ordered the same set of tires. Yours are the 285x75x18 right? Looks like you have not had them for several months. Still really like them? What air pressure are you running in them?

I just put 35x12.5x20 Toyo AT2's on my 2010. I'm really liking the tire, much quieter than the Dunlops they replaced.
