High Mileage 09+ reliability

Just curious now that this generation has been around a few years who has actually put some miles under their tires. Please post up if you have a higher mileage current generation, along with anything repaired/replaced beyond scheduled maintenance.

I'm at 42K and no problems whatsoever with any of the stock Ford stuff. (That rules out me screwing up aftermarket things )

63K miles here. Other than maintenance and a door handle recall. Nothing really. Smooth running. I love my truck.

Mine is not that high yet, mileage wise but getting there quickly. I have 19,000 on the 2011 5.0. Nothing but oil changes and tire rotations so far.

It would be hard to blame Ford for those kinds of problems.

74,000 miles here. The only problem I had was the leaking 3rd brake light. It didn't start until I was at about 40,000. After some lobbying, Ford reimbursed me for the swap to the new one with the bigger gasket.

I have 46k on my xlt.
-foglight socket was replaced.
-tailgate had to be fixed. poped when opening. spring was forcing tailgate open instead of slowly dropping.
-right side of truck had speaker issue. sounded like loose connections. speakers would play at full volume, and cut in and out. ended up replacing radio.

All of these issues in my opinion aren't a big deal. The thing that drove me crazy was having to drive back and forth to the dealer because of their incompetence.

I had to go back even for the foglight socket! They never used heat shrink where they spliced in the new socket and left the wires hanging in front of the front tire.

With other issues with my sirius radio from the dealer who repaired my foglight, I decided to try another dealer when my tailgate gave me issues. I made my appointment and showed up on time. The douche service MANAGER told me to take the tailgate off and grease underneath the cap. hm. Well after that didn't work, I made another appointment(which then passed my 36kmi warranty) and they suggested I pay my deductible for the 100kmi warranty to actually fix what was wrong. After being an raging lunatic, they finally agreed to fix it without a deductible. I ended up having to bring the truck back a forth time for them to try again. So far, so good.

I then switched to another dealership, who diagnosed the stereo problem without fail..

Lets just say this is my last new vehicle.

Sounds like the general consensus it the folks that build these trucks do a pretty good job, it's the folks we have fixing them that can cause problems.

I was very happy with my truck until yesterday this happened https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...cel-today.html
While I love the comfort and power, I hate the complexity of these things, time will tell if I ever buy a new vehicle again.

72k here and only problem was carrier bearing replaced at about 40k...First time they "fixed it" i drove it home and next day noticed leaking on my driveway...it never leaked even when the bearing was bad and making noise...Took it back and they had messed up some seal when replacing first time but did fix it the second time........no troubles since...
