Looking at the back of the mirror, I used the driver's side bottom wire. green/purple (I think . . I am color blind) for the positive, and the solid black wire. bottom middle for the ground. this is a switched power supply on my 2011 Lariat with NAV in the pic below, the red arrow is the positive, and the white arrow is the ground location. All you guys doing direct wire, make sure you fuse that!!
