2010 FX4 - Squeaking

My truck has been making this annoying high-pitched squeaking sound for a little while now. It doens't seem to drive any differently but though I would get some feedback on here.

It only seems to do it in 2 scenarios:

1. After I drive for a bit and slow down to a stop (say at a drive-thru) and then start moving again.

2. On the freeway after I have been driving for a while it seems intermittent. It isn't always there, but does pop up occasionaly.

I have a hard time explaining the sound, so I made this video. Sorry the truck is so loud, it has a Magnapack on it and that seems to dominate some of the video.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Have you checked the brake pads lately?

I can't see the video, but does it change with rpm? Possible idler puller bearing going?

I only have about 18k miles and the brakes don't make any sound when applied. Could it be a Ujoint?

TruckGuy, no change with rpm.

Thanks for the help!

I know you have low mileage, but you could have a brake cylinder hanging up on one of the wheels. Sure sounds like a brake pad wear indicator.

Can you tell where the sound is comming from?

If so maybe just check the pads on that wheel.

If it was the brake pads wouldn't there be a sound when I apply the brakes, or no?

I think it sounds like it is coming from the front left. I also noticed tonight (perhaps it has nothing to do with this) that if I push the front right down there is no sound, but if I push the left front side down it creaks like a spring bed. If I didn't know any better, I swear it seems like it happens most when I am turning left out of a drive-thru or parking lot.

When I am on the freeway, it sounds like it comes from the rear (maybe because of the way soundtravels).

The wierd thing is that it doesn't always do it. Here is another video (you can hear it int he beginning):

Maybe have one of your buddies push on the suspension while you crawl under and listen where the sound is comming from. That is strange.

If I push on the front left, there is definitely a creaking sound. The front right has no such sound. Whether that has anything to do with the squeak/squeal while driving is beyond me. My Ford dealership had no idea what I was talking about, but I'm sure they will blame my 1.5" leveling kit despite the fact it was installed after the squeaking started.

Yeah I hate taking my truck to the dealer, it's always a bad experience! I would definetly check the mounting bolts on the level kit. Maybe just some bolts got loose causing a bind.

Yep, they are almost useless.

That's a good idea about checking the bolts. I will do that tomorrow after work.

Thanks!

My 10 Lariat has the same noise but from the right side. I think it's suspension related...

I'd say it has something to do with your truck saying, "please don't change my exhaust again!" Haha. Other than that, nothing useful to add.
