Cancelled my order. Just couldn't wait any longer

Ordered my EB Platinum 13 weeks ago & it's status has been "waiting shipment" for 8 weeks now. I had to cancel my vacation because I can't tow my trailer. Sold my old truck a few weeks ago. I also have some jobs in the next couple of weeks where a truck is a must so I would be losing money without a truck. My dealer has contacted regional & district reps & nobody knows why it hasn't shipped. 13 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for anything. Got a crazy deal on a '10 GMC SLT. Dealer wasn't totally surprised. He said people have cancelled Focus & Explorer orders because they were tired of waiting.

Come on now guys...... don't make me be the first one to say it. All I can say while biting my tongue is, (good things come to those who wait). Those who can't are stuck with government motors cap. Good luck with that one. Let me know how it works out for ya.....as a matter of fact, don't. I already know. Better find a government motors forum.

Seriously that is messed up. I ordered my FX4 and got it just under 6 weeks later. I would have canceled it also if it approached 10 weeks let alone 13 with no answers.

i can understand canceling the order, but i find it hard to believe you couldn't find a truck similar to what you were wanting

Or at least something that is a heck of a lot closer to what he was wanting than a GMC is!

The truck I ordered was a 157" max tow with nav. Dealer couldn't locate anything within 200 miles. I honesty felt after waiting over 3 months with no answers, Ford wasn't worthy of my business. The truck was built 2 months ago! I have to question Ford's business plan. There's a nearly $54K MSRP truck just sitting. I've also noticed my Ford stock has been tanking the last few weeks.

Thank you for that insightfully ignorant comment. If you could keep that sort of stuff to yourself from now until......forever, that would be great.

Where in NW Indiana? I am seeing plenty 157" F150's on lots. I just saw two in LaPorte. Didn't get up close to see them so they may not have Nav, but they were definitely the 157".
Also, everyones stock has been going down the last few weeks. Not just Ford. Check the Dow Jones Industrial.

I understand your frustration. That's to bad...At 13 weeks, you where probably only a week or so, from driving it. Vehicles shipped by rail do a lot of sitting around at junction points, compared to the ones shipped by convoy.
Has nobody ever tracked your truck for you?
Did you have a ETA?
just wondering....
