Just got it back from the paint shoppe .....



Hope to install it this weekend.

LOVE IT! I actually saw one painted the other day...wish I could've got a picture. It was a black truck, and they left part of the grille silver, while painting part of it black. It looked very interesting, but I only got a glimpse. I think I liked it.

I really like some things about each grille in the photos above. Actually in the first photo I like that the wide silver border of the original grille is gone. Looks good color matched. I want to see the one from the OP...all blacked out.

A couple questions.... Did you have the dealer paint it? Is that tuxedo black color? Also do you think a chrome grille could be painted?

Doesn't show-up in the above pic's, however, also fabricated an interim lower grille ( until I can something else ), from a '65 Mustang grille that I had laying around ...

were your lower black bumper pieces painted as well...what was total cost on something like this...thx

I think the black Plat grille would look cool painted black with the chrome billiet inserts for the grille and bumper. That would keep with the Plat theme.

That truck desperately needs to be lowered a tad. And lose the running boards...
