35" Toyo M/Ts with BMF rims on a leveled 09-11 4WD
well i have searched high and low and on here and other websites. i was wondering if anyone has seen or known of a 09-present F150 4WD with a 2'' leveling kit, BMF wheels (20x9 novakanes are what im wanting to go with) and 35x12.5x20 Toyo M/Ts. I think they are a 5'' backspacing. i want to have a definite answer so i wont spend a crap ton of money for some rims and tires for them to sit there and collect dust. i know i might have to do a little trimming and thats fine. there is alot of info on here about other rims with close to the same backspacing but i just want a definite answer on these, so if anyone has any info to share it would be greatly appreciated. i just put on a 2'' lift on the front and i want to fill the empty wheel wells soon.

yeah but later on i want to get a 6'' lift and dont want to roll around with 33s.

I'm running 35 x 12.50 x 17's with a 2.5" level on my 2010 and have no problems. My wheels are 9' wide and have 5.25" backspacing if that helps.

I can't say for sure but I think you might have to do quite a bit of trimming to get 35s with only a 2 inch leveling kit With the BMF wheels. The backspacing is the same compared to many other rims but I believe that most of the other rims have more offset to compensate for the backspacing. The BMF wheels have 0 offset.
I have 285/55/20 (which is about 32.5 X 11.25) with BMF Novakanes with no leveling kit and I have at most maybe 1 inch of clearance between the front valance and almost no clearance between my mud flaps when at full lock and on an incline. I'd say if you can get them to fit it would be worth it cause the BMFs are some awesome looking rims. :thumbsup: http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...09F-150045.jpg |
Honestly, I think if your going to get a 6in at some point just save your money from the leveling then get what you want when you are ready.

Do you know what the offset is rather than the backspace? I have 35's on 22x9.5 wheels with +18 offset and mine is 2wd.. I do have 0-3" coilovers cranked to 2" and had to trim the inner fender splash guard... The Toyo M/T's have huge lugs on the side wall and that's where you will run into problems.. I know you can fit 35's with a 2" level and the correct offset but you might need to run an A/T tire to minimize the larger sidewall tread..

i think they are a 0 offset. if i put a 1/4'' spacer in there do you think that will help at all? it would make it a 5.25 back spacing.

im looking at a wheel thats the same specs as the bmf's but from what ive seen on the site, it seems like you would need a +18 or 5.7-6 inch backspace for the tires to fit. due to this, i (and maybe you) am considering a 295/60/20 (34.45x12.1) trail grappler but not sure if even that would fit.

I just checked BMF's website and they offer a negative offset and an EZ offset, I googled the EZ offset and it seems that is a +19 offset and will work with 35's A/T but not 100% sure about M/T's. You should call BMF to ensure that the EZ fit offset is indeed +19 prior to buying them.

The way I understand it is that BMF wheels are either the ez fit or negative offset fit. THe EZ fit is only offered in the 17X9 and 20X9 wheels. The offset for the EZ fit wheels is 0 offset. These wheels are primarly for the leveled trucks.
The negative offset wheels are for the fully lifted trucks. These are available in the 20X10, 22X10.5, and 24X10.5 wheels. The 20X10 wheels are -19 offset while the 10.5" wide wheels are -25 offset. |
when you say negative offset does that mean you have more or less of a lip. i now what backspacing is just dont know to much about offset. im guessing it has to do with the lip of the rim.
