Nav Radio buttons stopped working

I have a 2010 Lariat. Yesterday while listening to bluetooth audio, the radio switched to local FM station by itself. It also put the volume about 25%. Then all the hard buttons (on/off, volume, map, radio, media, etc.) stopped responding. The soft screen buttons still functioned, but there is no volume control or on/off control on the screen.

Also, when I touched on the map, an error message came up saying that it new there was a problem it couldn't fix.

Anyone else ever run into this? Radio still hasn't reset, so I am thinking of pulling the fuse for it, as the volume is just too loud.

Awhile back someone was talking about their quite responding. Try pulling the fuse or take the negative cable off for a couple minutes and try again. If all else fails take it to the dealer.

It happened to my 2010 about 2 months ago, and the SYNC went crazy. Pressing the steering wheel control wouldnt bring the voice menu up, instead it just auto dialed the phone.
I disconnected the neg battery cable for 5 min and reconnected. Fixed it and no problem since. Holding my breath.

this happened to my 09, at first it happened to be a bad battery. causing weird things with the truck in general.

then on a trip out to Colorado 50 thousand miles later, it became sluggish, and button presses might take 5 mins to respond. nav was useless.

it was a bad APIM module. 750 for part and labor, its the aux power module, basicly runs everything, controls all of the various interfaces into the radio unit.
I traded truck in on a new one. problem solved.

Talking 2010 f150 rADIO ISSUES

Like many other my radio took a $%1T and had no Audio. I went thru the list of things to do such as
1. restart truck 3 times
2. disconnect battery and wait
3. check and replug multiple fuses ,amp, subwoofer, radio mute
4. reset radio
5. ect
found one post that said whack it....and I did...as Im sure you want to do. palm of my hand all over the mother...***** display ect
AND IT WORKED...FULLY FUNCTIONAL NOW. 7 years of bad roads must have put someting in there or worked loose.

If nothing else works....BEAT THE HELL OUTTA IT

Like we used to say in the military - try a hammer. If that doesn't work try a bigger hammer!

The actual problem is cold solder joints.
