Climate control temperature jumps

any idea why the temperature control jumps from 16 all the way to 19, then goes in 1/2 degree increments after that?

Seriously, I have no idea why. But if it makes you feel any better, the farenheit equipped trucks do the same. Mine jumps from 60 to 65, then one degree at a time to 85, then jumps to 90.
