Ok honest questions for all you 2010 Lariat and higher package owners out there. I am currently in Afghanistan and waiting a couple more months before I get home and can drive my new 2010 Lariat SCREW 4x4(that has not been picked up yet). I have read on my order options list from OMCS (Overseas Military Car Sales) that the steering wheel has controls for the Air Conditioning like it does for SYNC and cruise control and I am wondering if that is true. I only test drove an XLT when I was on leave so I did not get to look for myself. I have also looked in the Owner's manual I downloaded and it did not mention any A/C controls on the steering wheel. Since patience is NOT one of my virtues I cannot wait nearly 2 more months to find out. Thanks for the help.

 

I have a 2009 Lariat 4/4 SCrew. The steering wheel has cruise control on the left side of the steering wheel amd the SYNC/media controls on the right. There are no A/C controls on my steering wheel.

 

yeah my dad has a fx4 lux and it has no a/c controls wish it did though

I would suspect that what that means is that you can control the A/C from the voice activated sync button on the steering wheel.

 

Yeah that was one thing that was dissappointing, the replaced the fan controls on the steering wheel with Sync controls...............I would much rather have my SYNC and have to reach 8 1/3 inches to the right to control the A/C than not have SYNC. Also my A/C is not voice controlled.

 

I bought a Lariat 4X4 SCrew while on vacation from Bagram back in July. My truck has the Nav system which does include voice control of the climate control.
As far as I know there is no other option for steering wheel control of the A/C.
