Gauges cycling on startup

Every time I start my truck, all of the gauges do a complete cycle from min to max. Is this normal? My Lightning started doing this once and it ended up being a bad battery. I just want to know if this is normal on start-up for the 2010 or if I need to take it in to the dealership.

My 2010 Harley Davidson does that on start up also. I figured it was normal.

It is a normal feature on the 2010s.

Frightliner truck tractors and several other manufactures of over the road vehicles had this function many years ago. It's normal and a sequence upon start up to check functions on various abnormalities.

That is what I was hoping. I just knew that when my '04 started doing it the battery was nearly toast. Thanks for the info.
