Regardless of what the EZ Down site says, you can put these on the 09 SCrews.

Received and put mine on today.

Piece of cake...10 minutes tops. That is, after I got the factory cable bolt out...that thing was in there good!

The tailgate is already so light with the factory torsion spring, what advantage is there with this EZ Down product? I'm not sure I understand exactly what the product is for.

It slows the speed of the tailgate if you let go of it by accident or if you have a autounlock on your tailgate you can open it from your remote.

There was a video showing a power up/down tailgate on a 04-08 F150 using something similar to 'EZ Down'.

That is an interesting mod. Dose it also cause resistance when closing the tailgate?

no...just make sure you don't pinch the cable in the gate...there's a spacer that comes with the kit that helps but just be wary of it when you're closing it.
