2009 3rd Brake Light Question

2009 3rd Brake Light Question
Anybody know if the 09 3rd brake light is the same as the 04 - 08 trucks? I'm thinking about a smoked 3rd brake light for my truck and can't tell if it is the same as the earlier trucks or not.

I don't think so. I was washing my truck roof and noticed it didn't look the same as my previous 06 model. Too dark to go look now.

It definitely is not the same as 04 -08 models.

The 2004-08 kind of wrapped around t the top of the truck.
The 2009 is falt against the back.

+1 - noticed the difference right away...'04 - '08 wraps around the top and the '09 is flat against the back surface
