I had no problem finding a part numbers from their site for the 09' F150.

5.5' bed: FOF0455a
6.5' bed: FOF0465a
8' bed: FOF0480a

Same part numbers as the previous year but they added the "a". I'm not sure the difference though. Maybe the tie downs are different or some other minor detail.

Man, I feel bad for all those who had drop-in's and experienced paint rubbing, movement, and/or rust issues. I have had 3 F-150's since 1996 and absolutely none of them had any of the issues above. All were perfect. Perhaps it's just the installer? I plan to get a drop-in on my 2009 as well since mine have always performed wonderfully, in fact just got word today it should be arriving Friday 3/27/09.

Well i just went down to the local line-x dealer and price is 429 all in. They also said that they are a little more exspensive as they do thicker coats. Dam stuff was thick. Sure looks like it can hold up well. Def going for this. Just need to book it in. Does anyone think it's worth getting the line xtra????? Im going with black.

I had my '91 sprayed in back in 2001 (the regular LineX) and it still looks great. I don't have a tonneau or cap on it so it's been getting 8 years of direct sun. Personally I don't think it's worth the extra money. I'm picking my FX4 up today and it will have the regular LineX sprayed in soon.

Do you have the "stripper pole on your tailgate? Are they coating the tailgate or leaving the plastic cover in place. I have not removed my cover from the tailgate yet. The OEM cover has a pocket to store the pole when folded in.

The local Line-X dealer in my area that does them for the deal leaves the stock plastic in place with the tailgate step and handle and sprays the rest of the bed. $450

I've not seen the tailgate without the plastic so I wonder if maybe its necessary with the tailgate step option?

Definitely the spray-in. I've had it on every one of the trucks that I've owned over the years.

LINEX- colors

What color options do you have with LINE-X? Don't have any dealers in my area. Web site shows like six basic ones.

Another vote from Line-X. They matched the Ford bright red and it looks great. I did not find it hard to slide cargo around... when it snowed it can be too slippery. Can't hurt resale when the bed of your truck looks pristine.

Sprayed in, hands down. Check around in your area though. Around here I found it cheaper not going with the name brand "Line-X". Same stuff and I liked the job he did better also. I went with a bedrug this time though since mine is covered.
