I went to the Tampa Bay Storm game last night and in the parking garage I spotted a 2009 F150 Lariat. It had the computers and crap aboard so I'm guessing it's a test mule. I was not impressed at all. I wanted to reserve final judgement until I saw one in person, and it just confirmed what I had already thought.
The 2009 F150 sure is one ugly looking truck. I much prefer my 2005, but I assume it will grow on me.

And yes, I did snap some pictures with my cell phone, but give me a minute, I'm working with only 9 fingers at the moment due to a home improvement accident.

 

Here's the pictures. It's a 2WD Lariat Super Cab, Platinum Edition (I think). It was a pearl color and it had the fold away tow mirrors. You can see some of the electronic goodies all over the dash and the passenger seat.
The lighting was poor in the garage, and I took these with my phone. I would have gotten more, but we were late and I was already getting yelled at for taking pictures of "some stupid truck" (my wife's words), and it was gone when I got back.

I agree, it sure is ugly, but from this side angle it looks pretty good. I think it's because I can't see the rear and the front clip.

 

Wow... and I thought the current body style made the wheels and tires look too small.

 

No kidding! I wonder how big of wheels and tires their going to offer on it? Surely something bigger than those but crap, 20's and up start gettin' pretty pricey.

I think the front end looks too much like the new Chevy's. I really dont like the look of them.

 

I don't like the lariat front end, but I like the FX4 front end better.

Maybe I need to start carrying my camera around if these guys are roaming around town.

 

i think the hood looks like a chevy, but the lights and grille are like the 250s

 

i agree the fx4 looks much better with the painted grill and bumper. the huge grill sticks out too much with the chrome.

 

From what I have seen, im really disappointed in the new F150 and thats because im a Ford man. When I saw the 04-08 body style, I just had to get one.
I hope I feel different about them when I see them in person.

I've seen them running around Toledo, OH for a while but i never have my camera when i do
I only like them in FX4 or STX trim. I can't stand the lariat/xlt or platinum grill.

 

That is because from this angle it looks like our body style!

I ain't gonna lie I bought my 04 cause I thought it was a good looking truck. The Lariat interior just made me melt. Went into the dealership looking for a base model 4x4. Anyways I don't like the 09's look. I like the 04-08 Lariat front end the best.
