sweet vid. That crew cab in the vid definitly looks a lot meaner/tougher than the pics make it look!
plus look at how far the new towing mirrors go out in the vid, correct me if im wrong but they dont do that in the current ones right? |
looks liek a super duty front end

Very cool. But I still wonder who will buy it when it first comes out if it still has the same crappy gas engine choices at launch. A tweaked 5.4l V8 Triton... 325hp... oohh exciting...

Ford has never been the horsepower leader. The lead comes from being able to tow and haul more. The "crappy" 5.4L powers the best tow and payload ratings in the business. I hear from some sites that there will be an improved 5.4 and others say there will be a 5.8 and 6.2 possibly both at launch. At least it will be equipped with the 6 speed. The diesel - Ford should still be first.

This needs to be posted here as well...
"Wow. This was a waste of time. I ask 'why' Ford should hold back launching a truck that is ready to go for a year, and I'm told, essentially, "because." And then we've got the usual 'sunshine and roses' gang who have conveniently forgotten that the 'wimpy' 5.4L powers the best tow and payload ratings in the business. All under the 'we just want the company to do better' banner--always short on specifics, always with the assurance that 'if I approve of what they do, what they do will be successful', in other words, a whole host of tin-pot Nassers." "As far as 'first impressions', the F150 is celebrating it's 60th anniversary. It's a 'known quantity'. It needs to retain its key strengths which have never included raw power--rather usable power (class leading payload and towing, durability). The idea that a 2009 F150 debuting with standard 6-speed transmissions and (likely) better power, and retaining class leading capabilities will be looked at askance by people that buy and use trucks on a regular basis is somewhat farfetched. We are not talking about the F150 remaining 'competitive', we are talking about the F150 retaining leadership, and in fact extending its leadership in three core areas of truck-dom: payload, towing, and configurability. These areas have long been, and will continue to be key strengths of Ford, and as long as Ford continues to deliver them, they will retain their customer base." http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...ic=17016&st=20 |
I think the website is down. I can't get the link to open.

Looks like Ford made this video and leaked it to the internet as a marketing strategy. All the different trucks and all the different shots, come on.

I see a "real" regular cab.
The grill looks similar to the fusion set up with 3 bars across. The 4dr reminds me alot of the size of the new GM truck with all that camoflouge on |
