09 f150 bed extender

Ive got an 09 f150 lariat and I was recently given the three cage
Tube style bed extender.
What I did not get was the hardware. The cage came off of a 06-08 mark Lincoln truck.
When I called my ford dealer they told me that the 09 uses a plastic style extender now and they couldn't find the hardware

Does anybody know where I can find the studs that go in the side of the bed to latch the metal bed extender to?

Great, thank you!
The bed has been sprayed I can still see the mounting holes. I hope that doesn't make it harder to install. I don't know how these things bolt up. I shall soon see.
Thanks again.

The bolts should be self tapping.

I've got a 2010 Lariat and installed the tubed bed extender. The bolts are either self tapping or the hole is threaded.

Very easy to install.

Well I finally got the parts from my dealer and I still have no clue how to install this.
The bolts are not self tapping and the bushings don't have threading...

Ok I found where the bushings go haha. My bed was sprayed and I dont see any threading in the hole where the bolt goes. Is there supposed to threading in that hole or do I need to tap it?

The bolts are self-tapping. Just push it in and screw. (lol)
