Unhappy new truck hit

guys, i cant believe this...appparently some stole a truck elsewhere in town and came to my apartment complex. this guy came through the gate and plowed into 6 cars including my truck. my whole truck bed is dinged up very bad and the rear passenger door too. my truck is sitting half way on a curb and the other half is sitting on a minivan. i cant believe this. had this truck 2 weeks and got smashed. my entire truck was shifted over into this mini van. what are the chances that my frame is bent from this? i am trying to post up photos if i can get them off my phone. everyones car is plowed into everyone elses car. this is insane. im trying to figure out if i could be totaled or repaired? insurance company is working on this and will go after the guy who hit me later on once they find out who was responsible.

we had 4 cop cars show up and a dog unit searching last night for this guy. a dodge charger had the entire back end ripped off. i just lost $$$$ off my down payment towards this thing so im really pissed.

Dang, sorry to hear that, but that's what insurance is for I guess. I'm curious as to what kinda of truck could plow through that many cars and trucks at once and keep on going?

Try to get money for the decreased value since it was new... We got 8 grand market value damages when our new Harley truck got hit and repaired.

Exclamation

ok they caught the guy who did it. caught him 1 hour later. we dont know if he was actually stealing a vehicle or intoxicated. he used an F150 to plow into all the cars and my truck. the funny part is that all the GM vehicles did not suffer much damage. the charger next to me was completely destroyed in the rear. my rear quarter panels (on the truck bed itself) was damaged pretty good on both sides. my bumper was sitting on the side of a chevy minivan from the 90's. my wheel was also making love to the side of their minivan too. its been a bad start to a day already.

my truck was towed to a repair center and im getting my rental shortly. the repair center said if there is frame damage, they can repair it. it looks more cosmetic than anything. its pretty nasty. im gonna take care of a few things and try to get some photos uploaded.

oh the other F150 that plowed into us suffered minor damage in the front end and it had a flat tire from the ordeal.

When my truck was hit, an inspector(or something) came out did his appraisal and if the other guys insurance paid, they would just send me a check. Turns out the effin lady lied about it and I didn't get squat.

Sorry to hear about this. At least they caught the guy and you were not in the truck at the time.

Check with your insurance company it's called diminished value.
I just a cracked windshield on my two week old truck. I will stop my rampage now.
Best of luck

i talked to my insurance agent about diminished value. he told me something that if he doesnt have insurance or something related to that, i get diminished value for my truck. i still havent found out whats up with the guy if he has insurance or not. ill find out tomorrow when i get the police report. he explained the diminished value thing to me but i didnt catch all of it.

i did a rough estimate and it is like a 6000-7000 difference between it new and used with 300 miles. if i got something like that back, im either going to save it or apply it to my car loan to offset the value of it on the loan for the future if i trade for another truck in a couple of years.

I doubt you will get that much. I had brand new avalanche back in 2002 one week old. We were hit and it did 17K in damage. I barely got 4k from that.
Insurance companies don't want to pay it.
