Yeah, the air filter is practically brand new and in great shape.

I don't think vacuum line contamination is the problem anymore, I think that was just sort of a coincidental thing.

I do have what sounds like an exhaust manifold leak, maybe that's related. Yesterday I couldn't even get the truck started.

Your cats may be plugged.

If it's not pouring rain when I get home today I'll try loosening the bolts to the cat and see if anything changes.

Can't get the cats loose even with an impact. O2 sensors won't budge either.

Still can't get it started and I'm not even getting any codes now. It just cranks. Fuel rail pressure is perfect. New injectors, new fuel filter, new FPDM, pump working, all evap components working. I'm lost.

Never had so much trouble figuring out a vehicle problem. I'm ready to get it towed to a shop for the third time. Hopefully someone is able to figure out this POS cause I'm sick of looking at it.

I've found 50/50 getting exhaust stuff apart without using heat... you'll need at least a MAPP gas torch.

Sometimes starting the engine, and letting it warm up can sometimes yields 50/50 results on the o2 sensors. I just cut the wire off, get a torch, heat'em, then use my breaker with suitable size deep well socket and yank'em out... in the garbage they go.

What has been done recently. Any work to AC?

Nothing. The truck was running perfectly and then just died on the highway one day. Then it was "fixed" with a new fuel pressure sensor and died again two weeks later with the exact same symptoms.

Had it towed back to the shop a week ago. They still can't figure out what's wrong with it.

So what happened? Did you throw a stick of dynamite in the cab and that's that?

I kid I'm curious to know. Believe you me I've felt like blowing my 2004 FX4 to bits. I've only recently gotten my arms and legs back from what mine has cost me to own.

[QUOTE=btl04;5249516]I've verified the evap purge and canister solenoids are functional and receiving the proper voltage.

I tried bypassing the FPDM and that didn't change anything, so that suggests the FPDM isn't the problem. I could hear the l
