Well itís the computer and those are hard to find

Had the Ford dealership diagnosi it. They suggested that I reswap the coil pack for a motorcraft one and if that didnít work it was the computer. Also have talked with others who program them and itís the same opinion.

Ordered one from flagship 1 for $275 lifetime warranty
hopefully this solves it.

Update
changed the computer and now have a rough idle and some backfiring. Showing code P0171 what should I look at?

Carefully check to make sure the wires are on the correct cylinders from the EDIS.

Very common mistake -- even pros make.

Check for vacuum leaks.

EDIS = Electronic Distributor... coil pack... whatever you want to call it.

Make sure the wires are plugged in correctly on both the coil pack and on the right plug.
