Timing chain tensioner
I am in the process of changing the timing chain 2005 f150 5.4 3v but I discovered that the right tensioner does not have the oil lubrication hole I wonder if this is normal.
only the left side have the orifice . someone knows about this situation. to my surprise the new kit comes the same with the right tensioner without the lubrication hole https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...f1ac9398e3.jpg |

IDK, but a possible explanation is that the right tensioner arm is on 'top' of the chain and oil running down (from all around) would assume to get on the plunger pin and oil it adequately where it contacts the back of the tensioner arm. On the left side - the Tensioner arm is on 'bottom' and less - if any - oil could 'run' down where the tensioner arm plunger contacts the tensioner arm.
