I'm getting tired of throwing parts at something that we can't figure out. It's a 2007 F150; 4.2L V6, 2WD. Was getting an intermittent no start, at random. Now - no spark. It started, but the alternator froze, and the belt snapped. Since then, it hasn't started. We weren't getting any spark. I replaced the coil pack, still no spark. Next was the crank sensor. Nothing. Cam sensor - nothing. We're getting power to the coil, so we're assuming it's the computer. The part is 7L3A-12A650-GRB. I can find several on ebay, but all have the last 3 letters different. Any ideas on (1) why no spark, or (2) the compatability on the ECM?

 

Other than guessing and throwing parts at it, have you done any ACTUAL diagnostics?

 

How about checking some fuses?
