using 2v motor in 3v truck is it doable?

I have a 2004 f150 with a 5.4 that needs a motor. I have a complete 2002 F250 with a good running 5.4 but its a 2v can I swap it in there? I have the whole truck minus trans so is there a way to make it work?

First, I'd like to say that I don't know what it would take. But, the 4.6 V8 that year was a 2V engine so I would assume someone who could sort out the computer controls could make it work. It seems you are trying to do it to save money and that might not save you any money.

The 03/04 Expy is a 5.4 2v. Seems like you could use the 2v engine harness as it would plug right into the ecu on the firewall, and then a tune. I've been thinking about this as well but more so to do a lightning swap as well as ditch the phaser issues. Still researching but no one replies to anything I send out.
Edit: Might need the Expy intake etc

Here's a couple threads about someone putting a 5.4 2 valve in a 2008 that came with a 4.6:

Never did get back to us telling us it's running.
