2004 f150 PATS reset?
If I get a bad transceiver code and change it, do I have to reset the security system somehow? |
On a dealer or a locksmith can do it....

I’d just move the shifter back and forth while messing with the key and it would always start. |

That's not a PATS issue, it's an issue with the MLPS (neutral safety switch).

PATS doesn't prevent it from cranking, it just won't start. The MLPS will prevent it from cranking.

Starting with the 2004 NBS, PATS will indeed interrupt the starter on the F150. If I get a bad transceiver code and change it, do I have to reset the security system somehow?

Nope. The transceiver is just an antenna, it can be replaced as needed without other complications. |
