Windows Squeeking

Hey guys last summer i was still under warranty and took my truck in because every time i rolled up my windows they squeek and screech like nails on a chalk board. The ford guy said it was due to my tinted windows and there was nothing they could do about it. It went away during the winter but now that theres been really nice warm weather it started again. Any ideas???

Mine just started doing it, too. We just had a few days where temperatures climbed well into the 80's and that's when it started happening. I don't have any tinting, the truck is completely stock. I guess it's nothing to be concerned about other than the annoyance of the sound?

Mine does it too.. wonder what wax would do to the tint on the window? Seems like it would make the window real slick and not squeak.

Mine too, but just when its warm/hot & dry, only the drivers side. I dont think the tint has anything to do with it. Wax may be the answer, not on the tinted side.

Yep, min doe sit also. Like the other have said only when it is hot out or has been sitting in the sun. Both drivers and passenger will do it. It really does not bother me so I have not looked into a fix.

mine does this as well.
i had no idea that this was so common!
it just happens on the driver's side, not the passenger's; however both are tinted. manual crank windows if that makes a difference.
i don't know, i've been wanting to take them apart at work, i'll take pictures and post if i see anything.

Mine would do it in hot weather, the dealer said spray some some lubricant in the window tracks (WD-40 or similar) and roll the windows up and down a few times to work it in. Helps for a few weeks but may need reapplying as it drys up and gets washed away.

This has been working for me.

Mine does it ever since I went muddin and got some on my window. At first I thought I had mud in my lining. So I took the door apart and cleaned everything nicely and it still does it. im half tempted to treat my window with WD-40
