At least you won't have to worry about the tranny after replacing it.

I'm telling you every time I get into a transmission it's always a similar story, did you get an upgraded unit?

I'm planning on getting a dealer reman. Has anyone ever purchased one? Is it worth double the price? I figure while it's down I'll get everything done that needs it. Phasers, timing, oil pump, vct's, the whole nine yards. If I end up with another hundred out of the old gal I'd be tickled pink.

No, we had a one rebuilt last year with the upgrade drum, valve body and a few other goodies for 1600 if I remember right.

So I'm curious. If we aren't supposed to use our old air to oil coolers, how can they be sure that our water to oil coolers are properly clean? Has anyone installed an inline system with a spin off filter? How well do they work?
