Advice on buying high mileage?
I had an 05 and loved it. Sold it for a ram and then an f350 6.4l.
Now I sold my trailer and just want a nice 500-800 Mike per year beater truck.
Is an 04 with 250k miles the right option for that? I need supercrew and need 4x4. Also can't be rusted out bc of my annoying HOA. The one I'm looking at had a manifold leak which seems to happen all the time on these, but it drives well.
No history on plugs, so I anticipate I'll just cross my fingers. If I can get 4000 miles over 5 years, id be overjoyed. If there engine bites the dust, i can write it off and tow it to a junk yard. If course I don't want to do that... But the low end of the trick market is more of Russian roulette.
