code p0463, fuel gauge issue HELP!!
I noticed probably about 4 fuel ups ago that my gas gauge went from roughly 1/4 tank to full very slowly, probably 30 mins or so to get to full from 1/4 tank. The next couple times I fueled up the gauge acted normal and showed full as soon as I started the truck. Today the gauge was reading 1/4 tank left so I stopped and fueled up, I put in about 27 gallons (my truck has the 36 gallon tank), I started the truck and while I was figuring out my mileage a "chime" went off, I looked at the dash and the info center said low fuel and the gauge was bottomed out on the E, I shut the truck off and started it again and the same thing happened. I had a 70 mile drive home during that time the chime for low fuel went off 3 times, roughly every 10 mins and the gauge was still on E. About 35-40 miles into my drive home I looked down and the gauge was reading 1/4 tank, over the next 30 miles that it drove the gauge slowly continued to go up and was at full when I pulled into my driveway. I used my Edge Evo to check for codes and pulled a p0463, I read that it is related to my gauge issue, but what is the ultimate cause?
Does anyone have any ideas where to go from here? Is this a common thing to happen to these trucks?

The code tells you the circuit is intermittent open.
The fuel level is an analogue input from the tank sensor to the dash where it is converted to digital.
Being micro processor controlled the dash display is updated as the fuel level signal changes either way over time as the program cycles.
Fix the tank circuit.
Good luck.
