Yes, but if the check valves are bad, then the IWE's will still try to engage during low engine vac. conditions. Did you try to get the 'ticking' with it in 4WD?

You're in the wrong section and should start your own thread to get more exposure to your problem. Does that generation have the FPDM? I'd look there if it does...

No FPDM till 2004.

Firewater, please don't hijack threads on unrelated issues. That's what "New Thread" is for. Also please be mindful which forum you are posting in - you have a 2000 but this is the 2004-2008 forum. Thank you.

Well I'm not going to try to drive the truck at 50+mph in 4wd EBC. However, after I changed those parts, and got my sciatic back to where I wasn't in pain, I did check to see if the CV shafts were turning while in 2wd. Luckily they weren't. Yes, that job was definitely and literally a pain in the ***/back.

Check this thread out: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/83...then-some.html
Diagnosing function of the IWE's with it jacked up is not the definitive check to proper 4WD function. I'm still betting on bad check valves in the system. Anyway, I'll drop it at that. Best of luck in your diagnosis man!
