Odometer shows nothing
Odometer shows nothing
2005 F150 xlt
As you can see in the title my odometer shoes nothing. I replaced the bulb and shines bright but no numbers or anything shows.
I took the cluster out and the back of the board looks good and shows no cracks. I'm all out of options

How do I get to those pins? I've taken the gauge clust out as a whole but I havent gone further because I DONT want to break anything
Checked fuses? How is fuse 21?
This is a common problem with many F150s. It is often solved by remelting the solder on the circuit board where the plastic receptacle that holds the 6 pins from the LCD is plugged in to. In other words: take apart the back of the cluster and find where the 6 long pins from the LCD plug into the circuit board. The receiver socket for these 6 pins needs to have its solder connections on the circuit board reheated or "reflowed" because there is probably a crack in the solder connection... this prevents the info from the circuit board from getting to the LCD. Look on YouTube for a video on this repair. Search on YouTube for something like "F150 odometer repair"
