06 f150 triton spark plug problem

Of course there is a problem with my triton plugs, however, I've replaced 7 of 8 plugs and broke 3 in the process. Bought the tool and that is all good. However, the back passenger side plug has some kind of something in the hole surrounding the plug that is preventing the socket to reach the hex section. Has anyone seen this and/or know how to remove it?

Fill up the well with carb cleaner and let it soak overnight, then put a pick down there and start scraping.

Looks like sand has filled the well and that's just the tip of the plug that's exposed.

I would try scraping it dry before you use any liquids on it. Then blow it out real good with a compressor. If you don't have a compressor then go buy a can of air (not a joke) at Staples, like they use on computers. Just make sure it is clean because as soon as you remove the plug the loose stuff will drop into the cylinder.

Just wanted to thank everyone. I soaked the chamber in carb cleaner over night and cleaned it out as best I could. I didn't have to scrape much, most of the build up came out with the cleaning and the plug came out in one piece to boot.. Again, thank you for the suggestions.

You might want to consider an oil change just in case any of that stuff made it down into the crankcase.
