Fuel issues
Fuel issues
2004 f150 4x4 5.4 liter. A week ago the truck would not start. It would turn over but was starved for fuel. I unhooked the fuel pump delivery module and hooked it back up and it started. I have changed the fuel pump delivery module and did not have any more problems for about a week. Now the truck will not start it turns over but it is starved for fuel again any help would be fine. There are no codes on the truck.
You shouldn't even have to crank the engine - fuel should come out when you turn the key to the ON position.
It's either the fuel pump, the FPDM, or a blockage somewhere. If you aren't using a Motorcraft FPDM, it's quite possible it's defective.

Its the second fpmd because i thought the same thing. So unless i got 2 bad ones.....thats not it. I get no gas coming out with key on and dont hear the pump. Could it be oh relay? I just want to check all options before I have to drop the tank

So I found out that my wiring harness was bad to the FPDM. Problem is I got a new one from Ford and in disgust threw my other one in the trash. The new one from Ford came with all black wires so I do not know what color wires are what. Does anybody have some type of diagram to tell me how to connect the new connector to all colors
