Clicking noise when truck is off

when I walked outside yesterday, the hazard lights were flashing rapidly and a clicking sound could be heard. The lights were in the off position on the dial and the truck would not start unless I turned the lights on. Truck started right up once the lights were turned on but if you turn them off, the clicking starts and all the lights behind the dash, radio and interior lights start flashing. Checked the battery and all the wires but couldn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check for water leaks from the 3rd brake light and the windshield.

Check the floor boards for dampness.

What engine and what year is this truck?

Nothing is leaking that I can see and we just had a lot of rain here. Truck drove fine all day and it's a 2006 with the 5.4
