Injector codes after plug change!!!??

Hey guys...2nd post...great forum!!... So, my 2007 FX4 5.4 had 2 misfire Codes #1, #8. So I changed all 8 plugs (motorcraft) and coils. Started up and ran really rough, smelled like rotten eggs/sulfur. Almost no acceleration! Now I have codes P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P0205, P0352, P0355 and P0358... The last 3 are likely from me trying couls coils on other cylinders... My question Is the inj codes. Could 5 injectors all go at once? Doesn't seem like a pcm issue as its not all cylinders and/or only 1 bank. Nxt step ohm testing the suspect injectors? What are the chances a full I jector swap would solve my issue? Thanks!!

You must have knocked something loose, didn't replug something completely, or pinched something when you changed the plugs and coils.

Are you sure you hooked up the correct wires back to their corresponding cylinders?

I'll triple- re-check all connections, and that I put them in the correct location...I hope it was a brain-fart moment for sure...just odd misfire Codes cleared, but now injector codes pop up. I did forget to un-hook battery, but unplugged pcm, them went oh *#$%, and un hooked batt...coukd that have killed it? Thanks guys

It may have. I don't know how touchy the PCM is.

I half way decent method to test the PCM, is by plugging a reader into the OBD port and see what you get for readings or if it will work at all.

Why did you unplug the PCM for a spark plug change? Normally you don't do anything and to clear the codes you should really use a code reader.

Update:
So, I cleared codes, re-checked my work, looked over vacum lines best I could...no codes came back, but it still is running horribly! Trying to get a cel to trip so I have some direction...I did notice if I unhooked vacum line from driver side solenoid and plugged it, it smoothed idle out

That is telling us you have a vacuum leak.

At this point, I would get a propane torch (not lit, of course), and see where you get idle fluctuations when you get near a vacuum leak with the gas.

Don't use carb cleaner, brake cleaner, etc... it eats them rubber hoses!

Thanks! Great idea! Always weary of brake clean/carb cleaner and all that plastic/rubber...I'm gonna give it a shot Thursday... I may replace plugs and/or coils one more time, since in my dark days as a Chevy guy I replaced plugs and chased gremlins for 8 months only to discover I had 2 bad ones! I'll keep updates going... Thanks again

Post Christmas update:

So, I went ahead and changed all 8 plugs (motorcraft) with motorcraft...while going over all my previous work, I noticed the coils I had installed (amazon no names) 4 had cracked where the plug connects!!! Seems you guys were right that I should re-check everything!!! Luckily had 5 of my old motorcraft coils, replaced them...cleaned maf, fired up, ran like a new truck! Didn't do re-learn yet, so its got a few stalls at turns etc, but its now 95% better than it was! I am ordering new MOTORCRAFT coils Monday! I hope it has solved my issues, and I'll update in a couple days. Thanks!

Excellent news!

Reminds me of some of the crew's (including mine) 4.2l v6... only likes Motorcraft everything for plugs, wires, and the coil pack. I know it's just the quality and the fact that it is designed for the engine.

I've said this before and will say it again. The only CHEAP coils I recommend are "Araparts". The way you wrote your first post sounds like you used Motorcraft coils, if you had indicated otherwise I would have immediately recommended you get rid of the no names.

I appreciate it fellas! I should listen more often! I was the same way with my trans am and "cheaoo" parts, cost me soooo much more than buying once/crying once! I hopefully have learned my lesson....again!!... As a side note, being my first Ford truck, I love it! Switched me pretty easily!
