Hey guys. I'm new here and been reading up and still can't figure this out. I have an 05 f150 6cylinder and I'm having difficulty getting it to start. Sometimes have to crank it 4-5x before it'll start. Sometimes it's a really ruff start up when it finally does. I can hear what I think is the fuel pump prime when I turn the key and I've just replaced the fpdm and pressed the ifs switch. When I can finally get it started it runs just fine. Please help lol. dirty fuel filter can cause hard starts. may be leaking injectors cause the engine to flood. try holding gas pedal to the floor before starting until it starts and see if it helps. if it does, fuel injectors? other than that don't know???
