I alreay posted this in the lighting forums, but i will post it here too. I came up with the idea to retrofit a set of jw speaker led lights into my 05 f150 headlight assemblies. Here is how they turned out. Not sure if this has been done before or not. Hope you like them.
Haha, so you probably have already seen me post this on fb. We have very similar trucks. I debated doing an all black housing with black speaker light, but was unsure if it would look good. I see from your truck, that combination would have looked good too
the output is pretty good. I think you would get more output from a set of hid's but jw speaker light outputs the maximum legal amount to be DOT approved. Compared to stock, it is a definite improvement. I still think the lights are over priced for what they are, they should be at a price point of half of what they are. The price kinda makes this type of project not practical for most people to try. I had to give it a shot once i realized the round space in the f150 headlight was 7". I have a night shot, but its a little deceptive because the night sky was also pretty light out that night.
Very nice indeed. Perfect fit. Pricey, eh? Oye- fer $700, you could get absolute top-shelf HID retrofits with all OEM components and the very latest capsules, but certainly not the exclusivity of yer install.
Can you post up some wall shots at 50-100 feet or so? Thankee!
Love to see more details, how you mounted them, what the nighttime shot looks like, etc.
Looks awesome at first glance, I wonder if you're the first....

^^^X2. The lights looks great. Nice job! Would love to see some pics of the process if you have any and more output pics also. I've got a pair of new oem heads I was wondering what to do with, this might be it. Even tho I don't need a 3rd set of retrofit heads or do I
