Hi all,

I recently had my rear axle seals replaced due to leaking. Does the rear diff fluid get replaced on that repair since the rear diff cover comes off? Trying to figure out when my next interval for changing rear diff fluid should be.

It certainly gets drained .... but whether it gets replaced or is reused ..... only your mechanic knows for sure.

Of the ones I know .... those I trust replace it .... those I know to be less than "honorable" might not.

If I was betting .... I'ld say he replaced it with fresh.
