Front / Rear wheel stud difference?

Is there a difference between the rear and front wheel studs? I looked them up on napa online and autozone , it should a front and rear option, however they had the same part number and looked to be the same. Reason am asking, is that I tried to replace a broken one on my front wheel and I can not pull it in all the way.

On my '04, the replacement studs are the same part #s. Remember when you drive a new stud in to use an open top lug nut, not an acorn nut, or you WILL bottom the nut out on the stud no matter what.

On a four wheel drive they should all be the same, two wheel drive fronts may be different based on VIN but could be the same as well.

Here are the two studs, Top one is the first one that I tried to use, Got it at auto zone, bottom one is the one I got from NAPA, Both are the same length, only difference that I could see is the thread on the bottom one goes up higher towards the head. Had no problem putting this one in. I guess they gave me the wrong part the first time.

Hey. I hope you don't mind sharing your experience.
I'm about to replace rear wheel studs on 06 f150 and I'm wondering if when you did your friends (as you mentioned), did you they come out and new ones insert with out any issues. Or did you need to make room for them by sliding the axel or remove heat shield or disassemble the e brake?
Thanks for your time!

Rear I believe we took the caliper and rotor off to access the hub flange on the axle, and we're able to negotiate the stud through the parking brake shoes.
